Henry Makow investigates what is really happening in Afghanistan

As President Obama ponders whether to send more troops to Afghanistan, there is mounting evidence the Taliban is supported by the CIA. If correct, the Afghan war is a charade with a hidden agenda.
First, we have many reports that unmarked helicopters are ferrying the Taliban to targets, and relieving them when cornered.
“Just when the police and army managed to surround the Taliban in a village of Qala-e-Zaal district, we saw helicopters land with support teams,” an Afghan soldier said. “They managed to rescue their friends from our encirclement, and even to inflict defeat on the Afghan National Army.”

Partly because of the British stiff-upper lip thing and partly as well because if you wish to try eventually to get on and re-establish yourself then it doesn’t do to show weakness.
Israel will attack Iran’s nuclear facilities before the end of the year if the West has not launched an attempt to destroy the regime with crippling sanctions, a former senior defence official has claimed.
Ephraim Sneh, Israel’s deputy defence minister until 2007, said a nuclear-armed Iran was an unacceptable threat to Israel. No Israeli government could put its faith in President Barack Obama’s efforts to bring Tehran to the negotiating table over its nuclear programme, he said.
Hundreds of Jews Against Zionism gathered in downtown New York City to protest against Israeli policies. They accuse the government of brutally attacking anti-Zionists living in Israel.

Drunken brawls, prostitutes, hazing and humiliation, taking vodka shots out of buttcracks — no, the perpetrators of these Animal House-like antics aren’t some depraved frat brothers. They are the private security contractors guarding Camp Sullivan, otherwise known as the US Embassy in Kabul.
These allegations, and many more, are contained in a letter sent to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday by the Project on Government Oversight, which has been investigating the embassy security contract held by ArmorGroup North America (a subsidiary of Wackenhut, which is in turn owned by the security behemoth G4S). The contractor was the subject of a congressional probe earlier this summer that found serious lapses in the company’s handling of the embassy security contract, which internal State Department documents said left the embassy compound “in jeopardy.” Nevertheless, the government opted to extend the company’s 5-year, $189 million contract for another year.

A former Scottish police chief has sworn that much of the evidence in the Lockerbie bombing was fabricated. Was this the real reason Mohamed Al Megrahi was released: thereby preventing his appeal and a possible retrial?

Sweden’s largest newspaper has reported that Israeli soldiers harvested the organs of Palestinians after seizing them from the West Bank and Gaza.
The report in the newspaper Aftonbladet cites Palestinian sources alleging that Israeli soldiers detained young men, then returned their bodies with organs missing.
The report is accompanied by photographs that appear to show a young man whose torso has been sliced open, then sowed back together.
All major conflicts are orchestrated crimes against humanity

BLOODY HANDS – Protesters inscribe the initials of Rudolf Hess and daub the hands of the Winston Churchill in bloody red on the statue of the notorious war criminal in Paris, opposite the Grand Palais exhibition hall next to France’s largest police station and the entrance to the Champs Elysée métro. (The building in the back- ground is the Petit Palais, housing the city’s art collection.)
Sir Winston set the stage for the slaughter of millions in World War II, when he refused to hear Hess’ proposals for ending that unnecessary conflict, following his flight to Britain on May 10, 1941. Instead, the peace emissary was thrown into prison, where he was to remain until his death nearly a half century later. Churchill’s bloody work was completed when Hess was brutally murdered by agents of Britain’s top-secret MI6, acting in collusion with his American captors, at Spandau Fortress prison in Berlin on August 17, 1987.
