Had Richard Goldstone not served as the head of the UN inquiry into the Gaza war, the accusations against Israel would have been harsher, Goldstone’s daughter, Nicole, said in an interview conducted in Hebrew with Army Radio on Wednesday.
“My father took on this job because he thought he is doing the best thing for peace, for everyone, and also for Israel,” Nicole Goldstone told Army Radio.
She added that her father wrestled with the decision to take on the task. “It wasn’t easy [for him],” Nicole Goldstone said. “My father did not expect to see and hear what he saw and heard.”

The UN human rights chief Navi Pillay has said that there is significant “prima facia” evidence that Israeli forces violated international law and human rights during their invasion of Gaza between late December and mid-January.
What they saw and what they report is unbelievable… but unfortunately true.
See and hear for yourselves a firsthand report from the leaders of the Viva Palestina Convoy that just returned from Gaza.
Nancy Masour was able to visit family while there. She said that breaking the siege was a vast accomplishment against colonialism. Taking back what is stolen from you, she added, is a fundamental human right. The next convoy will be from Venezuela in October.
Although participants were very enthusiastic, brave, tenacious, and committed it was clear that this was not an easy trip. There was much frustration, waiting, tension, and discomfort. All two hundred members deserve our praise, admiration, affection, and appreciation. Their spirit of humanity and their internationalist understanding is overwhelming. It is reminiscent of the response to the Spanish Civil War in 1936.
Palestinians have to tolerate this and worse every day!

In a drunken racial tirade, an Israeli settler threatens a British film crew. The wild exchange has the settler cursing Jesus, threatening to kill the film crew and Palestinians.
“You and your fucking Jesus can kiss my ass… we killed Jesus and we’re proud of it!”
"I am afraid that ordinary citizens will not like to be told that the banks can, and do, create and destroy money; and they who control the credit of the nation direct the policy of governments and hold in the hollow of their hands the destiny of the people."
